Radiological Worker I & II

IAW 10 CFR 835 Radiological Worker training for RAD Worker I and Rad Worker II.

Radiological Worker I

Prepares the student to enter controlled areas which emit radiation and provides the student with a strong background in radiation theory so they have a realistic perspective of radiation and its potential hazards. Emphasis is given to ALARA principles.

Length= 1-day with practical.

Radiological Worker II

Prepares the student to enter controlled areas which emit radiation and contains radioactive materials to perform work activities.

This includes a dress out practical in Anti-contamination clothing to ensure that the student does not inadvertently move radioactive contaminates out of a controlled area.

Just as with RAD Worker I, the student receives a strong background in radiation theory so they have a realistic perspective of radiation and its potential hazards.

Length= 2 1/2 days with practical.
